Kiran Vyas
The contribution of Kiran Vyas since more than a quarter century has been a dominant factor in the evolution of ayurveda in Europe. Bathed in the wisdom of his exceptional parents, he remains ever grateful to them for having met Mahatma Gandhi, and then Sri Aurobindo as well as The Mother. A brilliant teacher, he founded and then managed three experimental schools in India, that are inspired by the educational philosophy of Gandhi, Tagore and Sri Aurobindo. He then became a member of the UNESCO in the fields of education and teaching with art as a medium. During the same period, in 1983, he created the TAPOVAN centres for yoga and ayurveda as a fulfilment of his other passion: a holistic approach to the techniques of health on the basis of Ayurveda. Kiran Vyas delivers lectures and has authored reference books on Ayurveda, Ayurvedic massage, Indian cuisine, yogic exercises for the eyes and Hatha-yoga. Surrounded by a very devoted and multi-disciplinary team, he is at the centre of TAPOVAN’s development.
